Habit Streak ("we", "our", or "us") is a habit-tracking and wellness application committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and web services.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Google Sign-In.
  • Habit Data: Information about your habits, streaks, reminders, and goals that you create and track in the app.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our app, including features you use and actions you take.

Health, Habit, and Activity Data (Health Data)

Because Habit Streak is a habit and wellness tracking app, some of the information you enter may be considered health-related data under platform policies. This includes:

  • Habit and Routine Details: The habits you create (for example, exercise, meditation, sleep routines, hydration, etc.).
  • Completion and Streak Data: Daily completion records, streak counts, and progress statistics generated from your activity.
  • Goals and Reminders: Goals, schedules, and reminder times you configure for your habits.

We collect and store this data only to provide the core functionality of the app (tracking habits, calculating streaks and statistics, and sending reminders you enable). We do not sell Health Data, and we do not use Health Data for advertising.

Automatically Collected Information

We may automatically collect certain information when you use our app:

  • Device information (device type, operating system, unique device identifiers)
  • Log data (IP address, access times, app features accessed)
  • Location data (if you grant location permissions)

This includes when you use the app without creating an account. We use your device's built-in identifier (Android ID or iOS identifierForVendor) to measure how many people use the app and how often, so we can improve it. This identifier is not linked to your identity unless you sign in on that device, and we do not use it for advertising.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process your transactions and send related information
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
  • Personalize and improve your experience
  • Send you push notifications for reminders (with your permission)

We use Health Data (habit, completion, and streak data) to provide habit tracking, progress views, streak calculations, and reminders. We do not sell Health Data and do not use it for advertising.

Data Storage and Security

We use Supabase, a secure cloud database service, to store your data. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication and database services. Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. For more information, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.

Google Sign-In

We use Google Sign-In for authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Expo Notifications

We use Expo Notifications to send you reminder notifications. This service requires device permissions to function.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request access to your personal data
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Opt-out: Disable push notifications in your device settings

How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Use Streak account and all associated data directly in the app:

  1. Open the Use Streak app and sign in
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account permanently

If you no longer have access to the app, email us at usestreak.contact@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account and we will delete it for you.

This immediately and permanently deletes:

  • Your habits, streaks, and completion history
  • Your coins, purchases, and owned colors/icons
  • Your profile, followers, and following list
  • Any group you created (ownership passes to another member; it's removed only if you were its only member)

Feedback you've submitted is kept to help us improve the app, but is disconnected from your identity once your account is deleted. Signing in again afterward creates a brand new account, with none of this data restored.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
